The Global Village is a virtual village in which people are connected by mass media and electronic communications. They have become a single community. Even long time residents of the Global Village are uncertain when the practice began. There was no publicity or fanfare announcing the beginning of the practice nor can anyone recall a catastrophic event that may have triggered it. All residents know is that anytime the Global Village is threatened, prayers ring out across the entire Village.

Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones
"Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones," tune from Cologne Gesangbuch (1623) and text by Athelstan Riley (1858–1945). I'm not sure who composed the descant, but it fits the hymn very well. Conducted by Stephen Schmall in October 2003.
Traditionally sung on a Sunday near All Saints day, this is one of the best hymns and descants sung at Holy Childhood. This hymn is #90 in the "Green Hymnal" (1966 Benziger Catholic Hymnal).
Prayer of Ukraine
Prayer of Ukraine performed by the Kyiv Symphony Chorus, Matthew McMurrin conductor. This was a concert at Northland Church in Longwood, FL.
I remembered a quote I read somewhere, it says “In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons.” Unfortunately, in Ukraine right now, both are happening. Praying for my Christian brothers and sisters and all the people in Ukraine. A dictator leader will come and go but Jesus is King.🙏🙏🙏

We hope that this Adon Olam, composed by Cantor Pinchas Minkowsky (1859–1924) of the Brodsky Synagogue in Odessa, inspires your prayers and actions for peace in Ukraine. Praying for the safety of the Ukrainian people and wishing you a Shabbat Shalom.

"Mighty to Save" sung by Ukrainian students during Russian invasion
. This video is of students worshiping with lights out as the battle for Kyiv was happening not many miles away, just a day or so ago. Significantly, this is being sung in Russian, not Ukrainian. It is very important to note not everyone who speaks the Russian language is Russian, despite the propaganda. These are true Ukrainians who happen to speak Russian. Most Ukrainians are functionally bi-lingual to one extent or another.
This song from Hillsong in the 2000's has been sung for almost that long in Ukraine.
The English lyrics are:
Saviour, he can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save Forever Author of Salvation
He rose and conquered the grave Jesus conquered the grave
